Barya-barya lang po sa umaga...

I have decided to start this personal finance blog as a place in which to jot down my thoughts pertaining to managing my personal finances as well as talk about products and services that I have personally come across. Please note that I have not been paid to write about these products and services and all of the contents of these blog entries are my personal opinion. Specific disclosures will be done on a per topic basis as and when applicable (such as ownership of certain company stock for example). Although the tone of some of the entries may be somewhat of a persuasive nature, do not treat the contents of this blog as financial advise and do treat all of the arguments for or against certain topics with liberal amount of salt.

The title of this blog, "Barya-barya lang po sa umaga..." (roughly translated to: "please use loose change when paying in the morning" ), is reminiscent of those ubiquitous signs you see in Philippine public transportation such as jeepneys and tricycles. It is placed there to remind the passengers to help the driver to help better manage their cash-flow in the morning when they may not have enough change. I would like to think of this blog also as a reminder of sorts for people to help manage their cash-flow.

Please do note however that I do not have any financial background, and most of the things that I will be talking about are either things that I have read about or are related to personal experience.

So why does a self-professed non-expert be talking about things relating to personal finance? Well, to put it simply, I love to write about things that I am passionate about. Personal finance management just so happen to be one of those things that I really care for and I hope that readers of this blog pick up a thing or two on how I manage my personal finances. Having said that, I hope visitors enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy writing it. :)
